Chris Harms

Artist member since 2019
Toronto, Ontario

Chris Harms creates cosmic images using stained glass and vitreous paint, infusing a sacred medieval practice with the spirit of space exploration. Textural substrata made of items like wood, cork, and aluminum foil lend a sculptural edge to the work, uniting the celestial with the terrestrial. Tiny satellites, an extension of ourselves, search the stars to reveal new stories from the heavens. A self taught artist, living and working in Toronto.
